The Florida Department of Health WIC Program will be at the Hastings Branch Library to provide services in the greater Hastings area.

WIC provides the following at no cost:

Join us in the Children's Room every other Monday from 10am to 11am for a sensory sensitive library visit!

This interactive storytime for toddlers encourages physical, social, language, and literacy development. Be prepared to laugh, move, and sing! For ages 12-36 months; siblings welcome. Presented on Mondays at 10:15 a.m. 

Join us for a lapsit storytime program for babies and their grown-ups. We’ll gather in a circle to read stories and sing songs to help your baby develop early literacy skills. Best for babies 0-18 months.

A perfect first storytime for babies! This gentle lapsit program features action rhymes, songs, and stories presented in a circle time format in the Children’s Library. For babies up to 12 months; siblings welcome.

Come join Mr. Andy and friends for music, stories and more! This program is designed for kids ages 2-4 but all ages are welcome.

Join us for a drop-in play time for children ages 0-3 and their caregivers from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm. Enjoy social time with other caregivers and little ones, with toys, books, and puppets provided by the Bartram Trail Friends of the Library.

Come visit Ms. Michelle and friends at the library for storytime!

We’ll have fun with picture books, fables, songs, felt board stories, puppets, and more. Finish with a craft to take home. We’re looking forward to seeing you!

Babytime is a special lap sit program for babies ages 0-18months. Join us in the meeting room at Main Library for songs, finger plays, action rhymes, puppets and more.

Get your child’s wiggles out at our Romp & Rhyme Story Time where you bring the energy, and we bring the fun. Join us for stories, songs, and movement. This event is for toddlers, preschoolers, and their caregivers.

Registration opens March 15th

Caregivers can relax and chat after storytime while kids play with puzzles, puppets, and other manipulative toys.

Join us for Little Ones Storytime in the Anastasia Island Library events room! We’ll have stories, fingerplays, songs, and activities to help develop pre-literacy skills and spark your child’s love of reading.

Build together in an unstructured, creative play, LEGO PARTY! Thousands of pieces of LEGOs will be available and creations will be displayed in the Children’s Library for one week. For ages K and up. No RSVP required.

Let’s practice the alphabet together! Each week this Pre-K storytime will feature a letter of the week to help children learn letter shapes and sounds. For ages 36 months through Kindergarten; siblings welcome.

For ages 7-12

Numerous studies show that music is more than just fun, musical training can change the structure of the brain.

Have you seen the cool CRICUT machine?  Lots of creative ways to use it.  Let’s make some vinyl stickers, designs and add your personal touch to some items.

A fun cooking program designed for tweens and teens to learn or improve on their independent cooking skills. All recipes can be modified to meet most nutritional needs.
