Come join us for an end-of-school celebration and kickoff event for our Summer Reading Program! There will be bubbles, popcorn, freeze pops, water, prizes, and a craft, plus you can pick up your Summer Reading Log while you're here.

It's time for SUMMER READING! Let's celebrate our nation's 250th and reward the children who read all summer. To kick-off our fantastic summer of books and events, we are having A FOAM PARTY! 

Kick off Summer Reading 2026 "Stars, Stripes, and Stories" with family fun at the Library! The Southeast Branch Library is pleased to host a return performance from our favorite funny magician, Mark Alan!

This interactive storytime for the whole family encourages physical, social, and language and literacy development. For toddlers and preschoolers; siblings welcome. The same storytime is presented at 10:15 a.m.

You are cordially invited to join Felicity, Kit, Josephina, Addy, Samantha, Kirsten and Molly for teatime in the park!

Please join us outside the FOL room, in the grassy area by Bird Island Park Main Entrance Gazebo. 

Get up and close with the natural world with our friends from Animal Tales! "Fossils Alive: Dinosaurs Among Us" will include a visit from six exotic animals!

The Garden Club of St. Augustine is proud to bring back this fun kids workshop all about the misunderstood bat! A valuable night pollinator especially in tropical and desert climates.

Celebrate our summer reading kick-off with a scaly adventure! Mike from Wild Wonders is bringing his live reptiles to the library for an exciting, up-close look at some of nature’s most fascinating creatures.

Join Mad Science on a journey to the far reaches of outer space! We'll travel amongst the planets, meet some friendly aliens, and even cook up a comet. It'll be a blast!

Has your child ever wanted to give Martial Arts a try? Now’s their chance! Instructors will work with students to help them learn focus, self-discipline, and respect.

Join us for Little Ones Storytime! We’ll have stories, fingerplays, songs, and activities to help develop pre-literacy skills and spark your child’s love of reading.

Let's play with RED, WHITE and BLUE rubber ducks in a pool! Every child gets to take one home!
