Youth Art Lab: Natural Plant Dyes- As part of America's 250th celebration, join Ms. Karen to learn how pioneers dyed cloth using natural plants. In this presentation, Ms. Karen will demonstrate the dye making process of several plant species still commonly used today in natural dyes. Learn the difference between natural and synthetic dyes and the positive and negative uses of each type. Finally, students will be able to use the natural watercolor pigment leftover from the homemade dyes to create their own watercolor masterpiece.
