Join UNF's Florida Small Business Development Center for a 4-week small business workshop series at the Bartram Trail Branch library!  This will be a fast‑paced, practical series for entrepreneurs looking to build skills and make connections. Register once for the entire series. You are encouraged (but not required) to attend all sessions.

April 9: ABC’s of Starting Your Business 

  • This workshop will give you an overview of the seven basic requirements for business STARTUP: Selecting an idea, Testing the market, Acquiring capital, wRiting a plan, Turning for help, Understanding legal requirements, and Putting it all together.

April 16: Better Business Planning  

  • No matter the purpose – to evaluate the feasibility of starting a business or to present to a bank for funding - a business plan is a critical tool for successful small businesses. Get an overview of the format and content of a business plan and the resources to help get started.

April 23: Marketing Your Business  

  • This workshop will help you achieve your sales and marketing goals by understanding your products or services, customers, prospects and competitors through digital marketing platforms and social media.

April 30: Five C’s of Financing Your Business  

  • Get the lowdown on financing options available to small businesses. Determine how much cash you need, where to get the cash you require, learn how the SBA guaranteed loan program works, the five Cs of Credit and understand what a bank looks at when evaluating your loan package.
