DESCRIPTION:PLEASE NOTE: Participants should sign up as a pair. Caregiver 
 + person with cognitive issues. This event is not intended for individual 
 attendance. The Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library is partnering with the S
 t. Johns County Dementia Care and Cure Initiative (DCCI) Task Force to hos
 t a monthly Memory Cafe at the library!Memory Cafés are a welcoming socia
 l gathering where people experiencing cognitive challenges and the people 
 who care about them come together for friendship, fun, and acceptance. Bot
 h the person living with a cognitive decline, Alzheimer’s Disease, or re
 lated dementias, along with their primary caregiver or a loved one will at
 tend as a pair. Cafés are not designed to offer drop-off respite care.  
 At a memory café, we focus on bringing people together and meeting new fr
 iends through socializing, interaction, and activities. We do not focus on
  medical conditions. Therefore, attendees choose how they wish to particip
 ate and what they want to share with others. Registration for each monthl
 y event is required for all in attendance.
