  250th celebration, join Ms. Karen to learn how pioneers dyed cloth using 
 natural plants. In this presentation, Ms. Karen will demonstrate the dye m
 aking process of several plant species still commonly used today in natura
 l dyes. Learn the difference between natural and synthetic dyes and the po
 sitive and negative uses of each type. Finally, students will be able to u
 se the natural watercolor pigment leftover from the homemade dyes to creat
 e their own watercolor masterpiece.
