Our guest this month is Chef Warren Caterson who will be cooking Classic French Cuisine for our special I Love Julia (Child) program.
Chef Warren is a familiar face around the St. Johns County Public Libraries, and we are thrilled to welcome him back to the Anastasia Island Branch Library. SJCPLS even owns a couple of Chef Warren's cookbooks. Find them here https://sjcpls.aspendiscovery.org/Author/Home?author=%22Caterson%2C%20Warren%22
Chef Warren will share dozens of kitchen tips, cooking hints, and humorous anecdotes about the joys and challenges of cooking French cuisine for two. Chef Warren will answer such questions as: French cuisine looks complicated; is it do-able for the average cook? There seems to be a lot of fat and cream in French recipes; how can I make it healthier? Should I cook with wine, and if so, what kind should I use? And many more…Chef Warren will end the presentation with a cooking demonstration, preparing a healthy entrée that anyone can replicate in their own home in less than 15 minutes. Everyone gets a sample!
This program usually runs an hour to an hour and a half. Event Room will open at 10:45am.
Please RSVP as this allows us to have enough ingredients on hand. This program is generously sponsored by our Friends of the Anastasia Island Branch Library.
